la maison is dedicated to supporting, collecting and dealing contemporary art since 2017. It runs galleries and project spaces with an international program in Baden-Baden and Berlin, Germany. la maison was founded as an artist in residence program in a historical farm house in Alsace, France with exhibitions spaces, artist studios, a rental artist apartment and a sculpture garden.

From her childhood on Gianna von Haehling was influenced by the presence of internationally renowned artists. At her parents house, situated right next to an artist residency and public sculpture park in Durbach, south of Germany, Gianna spend years experiencing artists working with stone, wood and steel and discussing art in her parents garden. Those friends of the house became a major influence to her personal development and understanding of art and art production.
Later Gianna studied sports sciences at the prestigious Sporthochschule Köln, moved to Berlin where for many years she created food concepts and body and mind flow experiences in collaboration with several artist studios and art galleries. Always researching and innovating on the open verge of fine art, music, food and intrinsic body experience Gianna von Haehling is interested in exploring the conjunction fields of fine arts and applied arts.
2018 Gianna moved with her husband the former gallerist, artist and independent curator Johann Alexis von Haehling to Alsace, northern France to establish the artist residency “la maison”. Here, as well as at the ”la maison” gallery at Villa Bénazet in Baden-Baden, Germany she develops exhibition concepts and art experiences in collaboration with international artists.
